IRA ends armed campign

The IRA has announced that it will be ending its armed campign. They said it will use peaceful methods to unite Ireland. That is very good. But the probelm is with peace talks is that the catholics do not trust the protestents and the protestents do not trust the catholic. That is a big probelm because with peace talks you cannot get anywhere without trust.

Like during the cold war the United States and the Soviets would sit down for talks and no one trusted each other so it was hard to solve the probelms because each of them thought that they would not follow the terms. The only reason we were allies during WW2 was the common enemy and the need to bring down Fascist Germany.

Only time will tell if they are able to unite Ireland through Peace and if the tensions between the Catholics and Protestents will stop it.

Right now it is summer and I am bored out of my mind. I might sound weird but I miss school. Because it gave me something to do and I got to socialize with my friends. Because over the summer the only way to talk to them is through MSN messenger. Plus in the fall my former history teacher is starting History club which will be so cool and I also want to do Native American club. Well I have to go. I will try to keep my blog updated. But August 1-3 I am going to be on vacation and have no acsess to a computer. Also August 7-13 I am going to be up at camp and have no access to a computer.

Space shuttle

Today the Space shuttle lifted off for the first time since the Columbia Disaster. The launch looked good and I hope they come home safe. NASA has made safety improvements to help them come home safe. Still the Astronauts are very brave because there is always that chance that they will not come home.

I read an op-ed today in the New York talking about how the media talks more about Tom Cruise then they talk about the genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan. Which is the truth. Everybody talks about how Sadam was harboring terriorists and was evil dicataor. Well the leader of Sudan is a lot eviler and is harboing terriorists. Some of the countries in west Africa are harboring terriorists and Mr. Bush is doing nothing. Iraq has become a training ground for terriorists and just made the situation worse. Well I could go on forever about Iraq but I don't feel like it.

What is so sad is the person that the police shot on the underground was the wrong person. Because of this people have began to question London's shot to kill policy. I personally think that the police should shot at his legs to immobilize him but not to kill him. This guy did not understand english so he would not have understood the polices commands to tell him to stop.

I HATE BARBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because they have a perfect shape and all and are just so perfect. But Barbies are the sign that our society has probelms. Because little girls are looking up to a plastic doll. Also little girls are looking up to stars like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. Do we really want girls to look up to people like that? It seems in Hollywood that no one has talent. Hillary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, and Ashley Simpson are just a few that cannot sing. Also all the stars are stick thin. No wonder so many girls have anerxia(is that how you spell because I suck at spelling). With Barbie dolls we are programming them from a very young age to be perfect and thin.

I start school again on August 29. I cannot wait except for the homework and waking up at 5:30 am.

Hey I am gonna use this blog to talk about whats going on in todays world and other stuff and my life.

Well on July 7,2005 there was a terriorist bombing in London. This was a big deal because London had not had a terriorist attack by Islamic terriorists. I would like to make a point, over in Iraq this is called Sunday or Monday or even Tuesday. The point I am trying to make is that these suicde bombings go on everyday and it seems we have become immune to the numbers of soldiers that are getting killed. But we should not be immune because think about how those soldiers had people waiting for them to come home and they are never going to come home. I feel that we should not be involved in Iraq, because where Mr. Bush are those WMDs because the UN inspectors could not find them and you cannot either. Also Mr. Bin Laden was never connected to Suddam. And do not try to justife it using the reason that he was an evil dictator, because over in Africa there are a lot of evil dictators that are harboring terriostis. Specifically in Sudan there is a mass geniocde going on that you are saying and doing nothing about.

Well on to lighter stuff. I have found a new band that I like. They are called H.I.M. I heard about them through a kick ass website: www.youngwriterssociety.com. Go there. Its a whole community of young writers. Well the lead singer is hot. Plus he wears eyeliner which makes him even hotter.

I just finished the new Harry Potter book. Which was the best Harry Potter book so far.

SPOLIER WARNING(READ AT YOUR OWN RISK): I was so suprised when Snape killed DD. That part made me cry but Draco Malfoy has really progressed as the books went on but I think he has dug a hole that he will not be able to get out of. I really hope Hogwarts will open next year but I think Harry will be to busy to go to Hogwarts. I think in the last book Harry will die because I think Harry is one of the Horocraxs(I think thats how i spell it). Harry will have to die to be able to destroy Volermoret. Well I am gonna go since its getting late.
